Did you know that MidAmerican Energy burns coal at two large coal plants south of Sioux City, just feet away from the Missouri River?

A new report found that Woodbury County has the highest asthma rate in the state — and the most MidAmerican coal plants. The report also highlighted high rates of asthma, lung disease, and cancer in communities with outdated coal plants.
